Is ZySurveys Legit? An Honest Look at How It Works and Pays

Abdullah Al Noman, Project Head, ZySurveys · · 7 min read

Is ZySurveys legit? It's a fair question to ask about any site that says it will pay you, and you should ask it before you hand over an email address. Plenty of "get paid" sites never pay, and the Federal Trade Commission warns that anyone who asks you to pay to get paid is running a scam.

This post answers the question the honest way: who runs ZySurveys, how you earn, what the payout rules are, what it costs, and what it doesn't do. You'll also get a checklist you can use on any survey site, including ours.

Is ZySurveys legit? The short answer

Yes. ZySurveys is a free rewards site operated by Zyvara Technologies LLC in the USA. Members earn real US dollars for completing surveys, games and offers from established research and offer partners, and cash out to gift cards, prepaid cards, Wise or, in the US, a bank transfer.

That doesn't mean it's right for everyone. Surveys pay small amounts, you won't qualify for every one, and nobody should treat it as a job. The sections below show exactly how it works so you can decide.

How ZySurveys works

1. You sign up for free

Joining costs nothing, and it never will. Sign-up is open to people in the US and the UK, and members usually need to be 18 or older. Everyone else can join the waitlist. If you're in the US, start with our page on paid surveys in the US; in the UK, see paid surveys in the UK.

2. You complete a one-time profile survey

A short profile survey helps match you to studies you're likely to qualify for. It can't be edited later, so answer it carefully and honestly. Honest answers mean fewer screen-outs.

3. You earn from surveys, games and offers

Survey partners show you studies that fit your profile, and you're paid for each one you complete. Games and offers pay when you reach set milestones. Everything is credited in real US dollars, not points, so you always know what your balance is worth. Members in the UK also see amounts in pounds. Our explainer on real dollars versus points shows why that matters.

4. You cash out when you reach the minimum

Your first payout needs at least $10, and after that the minimum drops to $5. Payouts have no fee, apart from $1 on a US bank transfer. Here are the main options:

  • Everywhere: Recipient's Choice gift cards (All Retailers, Restaurants, Food Delivery, Coffee, Grocery and more) from $5, a Visa or Mastercard reward from $10, and Wise in US dollars from $10.
  • US only: Amazon, Walmart, Target, Starbucks, Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, Dunkin' and Chipotle gift cards from $5, a Mastercard prepaid card from $10, and bank transfer (ACH) from $50 with a $1 fee.

Withdrawals are reviewed before they're sent, and most are processed within 24 to 48 hours. Gift cards are emailed after approval, usually within minutes. Our guide to how long survey payouts take explains why sites review withdrawals at all.

Your first cash-out, step by step

Here's what a first withdrawal looks like, so you know what to expect before you put any time in:

  1. Reach the minimum. Your balance needs $10 for a first cash-out, or $20 if you claimed the welcome bonus.
  2. Pick a payout. Choose a gift card, a Visa or Mastercard reward, Wise, or in the US a bank transfer from $50. The fee is shown before you confirm.
  3. Enter where it should go. Usually just your email address for gift cards, or your Wise or bank details for a transfer.
  4. Wait for the review. Every withdrawal is checked before it's sent. Most are processed within 24 to 48 hours.
  5. Receive it. Gift cards arrive by email, usually within minutes of approval. After this first one, you can cash out from $5.

If anything looks wrong at any step, the ZySurveys FAQ covers the common questions, and support can check a specific withdrawal for you.

The welcome bonus and bonus codes

Every member who hasn't cashed out yet is offered a one-time $5 welcome bonus in a popup on their dashboard. Claiming it adds $5 to your balance and sets your first withdrawal minimum to $20. Declining it keeps the first minimum at $10. After your first withdrawal, the minimum is $5 either way.

ZySurveys also runs bonus codes. A percentage code adds that percentage to everything you earn for 24 hours after you redeem it on the Bonus Code page. Codes are shared first on the ZySurveys WhatsApp channel.

What ZySurveys won't do

Being clear about limits is part of being legit:

  • It won't ask you to pay. No sign-up fees, no "premium" tiers, no paid upgrades.
  • It won't promise income. What you earn depends on how many surveys you qualify for, your country and your time.
  • It can't guarantee every survey. Survey partners decide who qualifies, and screen-outs happen on every survey site. If it happens a lot, our guide on why you keep getting disqualified from surveys helps.
  • It won't pay for cheating. Rewards earned by breaking the rules, such as running more than one account, can be reversed. That protects honest members and the research partners who fund the rewards.

How to check if any survey site is legit

Use this checklist on ZySurveys and on any other site before you spend time on it:

  1. It's free to join. Any fee to start, to see surveys or to withdraw is a red flag.
  2. A real company runs it. Look for a company name and contact details, not just a logo.
  3. Minimums and fees are published. You should know exactly what you need before you can cash out, and what it costs.
  4. Payout options are real brands. Gift cards, prepaid cards and bank transfers you recognise.
  5. It doesn't ask for sensitive numbers to sign up. No Social Security number, National Insurance number or bank password just to create an account.
  6. Promises are modest. "Earn $500 a day from surveys" is a sales pitch, not a fact.

Who ZySurveys suits, and who it doesn't

It suits adults in the US and the UK who want to turn spare minutes into gift cards or small cash-outs, who like knowing their balance in real dollars, and who prefer low minimums to waiting months for a payout.

It doesn't suit anyone looking for a full-time income, people outside the US and the UK (for now, they can join the waitlist), or anyone who'd rather not share honest profile answers with research partners.

Conclusion

ZySurveys is a legit, free rewards site run by a US company, with published minimums, published fees and real payout brands. It pays small amounts for real tasks, and it's honest about that. The best way to judge it is to try a few surveys and make your first cash-out.
